Toronado x Mockery

By the red hot TORONADO and out of a Flemington Stakes Winner!

Lot 210 from the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale is a colt by Toronado out of Flemington stakes-winning mare Mockery. He is just Mockery's third foal, having already produced a city-placed horse by American Pharoah. The mare has shown she can produce competitive types, and this colt carries that same athleticism and scope. Toronado remains in strong form. Last week his son Stormy Grove, purchased for $135,000 at this sale, won the Hong Kong Classic Cup over 1800 metres at Sha Tin. These continued strong results in Hong Kong and Australia confirm the sort of performance his progeny can achieve. This colt is well put together, scopey, and balanced. He moves nicely and presents as a straightforward type who should progress strongly with preparation.

Her 2yo half-brother by Harry Angel, Seraphox, impressed at Newcastle yesterday with a strong trial win, highlighting the ongoing strength of the family. Another Tiger Of Malay Joins the Yard

Lot 54 a filly by Tiger of Malay out of Super League Tiger of Malay was a high class 2yo who trained on, and his stock are strong, forward types. This filly fits that profile. She is well balanced, correct and athletic, with good strength. She has enough natural strength to suggest she could be up and going as a 2yo if she shows the right signs, but there is also the scope for her to improve into her 3yo season. She is BOBS eligible and TASBRED nominated, providing access to strong local programming and genuine earning opportunities with the right placement. Overall, she is a straightforward, sensible filly by a stallion on the up, and a solid female pedigree behind her.
